Gregg Daly was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1982. Raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Gregg attended St. Xavier High School and graduated from Wake Forest University, where he was a Presidential Scholar.

Since age twelve, when he started winning writing competitions, Gregg has passionately taught and entertained others through the written word. Besides being a novelist and artist, Gregg has composed multiple screenplays and a sitcom, entitled Recess.

Crediting Stephen King as his primary inspiration, Gregg has also been influenced by Guillermo del Toro, Oliver Stone, Clint Eastwood, John Hughes, and James Cameron, among others. Gregg currently resides with Sutthiporn Aommi Suksap and their dog, Princess, in Chicago, Illinois.
